Impressionists Paintings

At the beginning of this unit, 5th grade students learned and practiced one point perspective. They used these skills to create a landscape drawing of a place that is meaningful to them. From their drawings, students then studied the painting techniques of historical and contemporary Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists. They then chose an artist whose style intrigued them to further research and use as inspiration to paint their landscapes. Take a look at their finished masterpieces!
